Democracy in action

Polling Day today – one of my favourite days in the calendar.

Think about it: it’s the only time you, the elector, is asked to actually take part in the political process. And it’s the one time you actually get to feel connected to political life. You walk to your local polling station, get your polling slip and cast your vote. Who needs postal voting? This is just so much more involving!
